Communicative Sciences and Disorders

In MSU's Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders, we strive for excellence in understanding communication disorders. Our partnerships with clinics across the state give students hands-on experience working as speech-language pathologists in real-world settings. With a 100% job placement rate, our graduates become scholars, clinicians and leaders in communicative sciences and disorders.

Degrees and Programs

The department offers a M.A., Ph.D., undergraduate major, and an undergraduate minor with several preparatory classes for students wanting to pursue careers in speech-language pathology, audiology or related disciplines.

Meet Our Doctoral Students

The Communicative Sciences and Disorders Department is currently home to 6 doctoral students, all with varying interests. We've assembled a little information about each of them to gain an insight into their studies; from infant-directed speech to multiple avenues of stuttering research, architectural acoustics to the development of language and disorders.
